Scream 4: Release Date and Cast of Characters

The fourth and latest installment of the blockbuster horror franchise, Scream will be back on the big screen on April 15.

 Scream 4 is top-billed by Neve Campbell who has been part of the original cast when Scream 1 first scared movie-goers about 15 years ago. Joining her in the cast to reprise their original roles as Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers are the recently-divorced couple Courtney Cox and David Arquette – who first met during the filming of the first Scream movie.
Also in Scream 4, we will be seeing a new cast of young television stars such as Lost’s Hayden Panettiere, 90210’s Shenae Grimes, Mad Men’s Alison Brie and Pretty Little Liar’s Lucy Hale. Young movie stars Kristen Bell, Emma Roberts and Oscar-winner Anna Paquin will also be part of the film. The famous Ghostface Killer will be played by Dane Farwell.
Originally intended as a trilogy, the making of a fourth Scream movie has been rumored on and off until it was officially announced in a press release in 2008 and not in 3D as also previously speculated.
The movie is set 10 years later wherein Sidney (Campbell) who’s now a writer returns to Woodsboro as part of her book tour. Her return also brought about the return of the Ghostface killer as he start a new killing game.
